What attributes contribute to the successful protection of cultural heritage in times of crisis - Uniting to Save World Cultures Conference at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington

Stefan Simon discussed emergency preparedness and disaster response at the Smithsonian’s conference “Uniting to Save World Cultures: Investigating the Attributes of Successful Emergency Cultural Heritage Protection Interventions” in Washington on October 7th. 

He responded on options of reducing hazard and vulnerability as discussant to a presentation by Terry Cannon (Senior Research a Fellow in Climate Change and Development, Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, UK) , which explained disaster as a social construction.
