The Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage will host guest lecturer, Amalie Skovmøller, PhD at the SAXO-Institute at the University of Copenhagen and Thorvaldsen’s Museum, to speak about the history and aesthetics of white marble. She will delve into how perceptions of ancient sculpture have been challenged by traces of ancient pigments and transformed by contemporary physical and digital color interpretations.
