Brown Bag Lunch: Potential application of polymer micropillars in conservation

October 23, 2014

Conservators and conservation scientists got together for lunch on October 23rd, 2014, at the Yale Center for British Art to learn about the potential applications of polymer micropillar structures in conservation treatments from Hadi Izadi, postdoctoral associate in Chemical Engineering. Hadi visited several conservation labs at Yale over the past month to learn about current approaches to cleaning and other treatments. He spoke about how micropillars are produced and introduced his experimental approach for investigating their use in cleaning delicate acrylic paint surfaces.
