From the www.Sightlines.info website:
Sightlines – a panel discussion and technology petting zoo with light-based technologies presented by the Digital Futures Consortium of Harvard University. This event brings together experts and thinkers from multiple disciplines to discuss 2D, 3D, and multispectral imaging for cultural heritage collections. This is the first of a 3-part series this year to discuss and investigate capture, current use, and projected applications of data-rich imagery in education, preservation, and engagement through viral reality, augmented reality, and interactive technologies.
Paul Messier’s presentation, which can be viewed here, focuses on practical applications for deriving data from photographic documentation, providing standardized approaches for imaging UV-vis fluorescence, texture, and daguerreotypes. For the petting zoo, he demonstrates a microscope system for RTI captures.
