Yale, Universidad Nacional San Antonio Abad del Cusco-CIEMCI, and Facultad de Ciencias Sociales-UNSAAC organizing a course in “Conservation of Archaeological Sites” with international experts from ICOMOS

The course is designed in collaboration between two ICOMOS Scientific committees, the Stone Committee ISCS  and ISCEAH (the committee for earthen architectural heritage). Mariana Correia (President of the Board of Directors at Escola Superior Gallaecia, University, Portugal) , Hans Leisen (Professor for Conservation Science, University of Cologne), Stefan Simon (Director, IPCH, Yale University, President ICOMOS ISCS) and Julio Vargas-Neumann (Professor of Civil Engineering at PUCP, Lima, President ICOMOS ISCEAH) are forming the instructors consortium.

The course is organized by Lucy C. Salazar , Richard L. Burger and Stefan Simon (all Yale University), Julinho Zapata, Director, Museo Machu Picchu, UNSAAC and Eleazar Crucinta, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, UNSAAC
