Summer intern

Hello, I’m Ivy Vuong! I’m from San Diego, California, and am now a rising junior at Yale University double majoring in the History of Art and Psychology. I was drawn to apply for the Hume Summer Internship because of its unique intersection between my career interest in museum curatorial work and my love of chemistry. Working alongside the incredible American Decorative Arts curators in the Furniture Study and brilliant scientists in the IPCH lab has given me the opportunity to study objects closely and closer (through Pyrolysis-GC/MS) while gaining critical insight into two compelling fields. I look forward to continuing my work as the Hume Summer Intern and furthering my appreciation for mahogany, the Decorative Arts, and chemistry this summer!
