Katherine “Kappy” Mintie is an art historian specializing in the history of photography. Her research focuses on the materials, techniques, and networks of exchange developed by photographers in the nineteenth century. Before joining the Lens Media Lab, she was the John R. and Barbara Robinson Family Curatorial Fellow in Photography at the Harvard Art Museums (2019-2021) and a Visiting Assistant Professor of American Art at DePauw University (2017-2019).
