Aisha Adamu Augie is Director-General of the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilisation (CBAAC) in Lagos, Nigeria, where she leads a Pan-African institution dedicated to preserving, promoting, and advancing African arts, history, culture, and civilization across the continent and its diaspora. Through her work, she has strengthened efforts to document and protect Africa’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage and has spearheaded cultural diplomacy initiatives that use heritage as a foundation for international cooperation and connection. Previously, she served as Special Adviser on Digital Communications Strategy to Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning and as Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor of Kebbi State. She is also founder of the Centre for Art and Creative Talent (C-FACT), a nonprofit supporting artists through advocacy, capacity building, and intellectual property protection. Her work focuses on safeguarding African cultural heritage, advancing cultural preservation, creative economy development, and the transmission of cultural knowledge to future generations.
