Charlotte Starnes

Avangrid Postgraduate Associate, Heritage Science Research Lab

Charlotte Starnes is a book and paper conservator who recently graduated from the Garman Art Conservation Department at Buffalo State University earning her M.A. in Conservation of Art and Cultural Heritage and M.S. in Conservation Science and Imaging as a Library-Archives and Book conservation fellow. She also holds a BA in Art History from Florida State University, along with a BA in International Relations and Global Affairs from Eckerd College in Saint Petersburg, FL. She has experience working with book and paper collections in conservation and preservation from the Georgia State Archives conservation lab, the Florida State University Special Collections library, the Florida Bureau of Archaeological Research Conservation Lab and the American Philosophical Society. She also spent her third-year placement at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C.
