Fu’ad Lawal is Co-Founder of Archivi.ng in Lagos, Nigeria, where he leads an organization dedicated to preserving and expanding access to Nigeria’s historical record through digitization, research, and public engagement. Through his work, he has helped build one of Nigeria’s leading digital newspaper archives, preserving hundreds of thousands of pages of historical materials, and has expanded access to archival resources for researchers, journalists, educators, and the public. Previously, he spent nearly a decade working across Nigeria’s media and technology sectors, serving as Editor-in-Chief of TechCabal and Zikoko and contributing to product growth and development at technology startups. He is also the founder of Vistanium, a storytelling studio focused on nonfiction publishing. His work focuses on archival preservation and access, advancing journalism, education, research, and collective memory.
