Ore Disu is the Director of the Museum of West African Art Institute, the new research and collections facility of the Museum of West African Art in Benin City, Nigeria. In this capacity, she works to support heritage initiatives and creative professionals across the sub-region and drive a new global appreciation of African art and material culture through archaeological research, conservation, exhibitions, and outreach. She brings over 10 years of experience in cultural programming, research, and stakeholder management to bear in the execution of early-stage programmes. Previously, Ore was the founding executive director of Nsibidi Institute, an independent cultural organization based in Lagos, Nigeria. She holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Cambridge (2009) and a masters in Urban Development Practice from the Development Planning Unit at University College London.
