Silenkosi Moyo is the Regional Director of the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo. She has worked in the Zimbabwean arts and culture industry for 16-years. At the core of Silenkosi’s artistic philosophy lies the belief in creating an inclusive visual arts industry by empowering the underrepresented sectors of the community. Throughout her career, she has implemented various programs that aim to address structural inequalities and foster the inclusion of all artists and minority groups in the visual arts value chains. She has also been instrumental in empowering artists from rural areas through the Provincial Art Outreach Program. Silenkosi is an alumna of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs under the US embassy and the Founder of the Isiziba Trust, a non profit organization that provides support to adolescent mothers of preterm babies. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and an Executive Diploma in NGO Governance and Development Programming.
