Join Fred Weichel, who spent 36 years wrongfully imprisoned, attorney Mark Loevy Reyes, and art conservator Paul Messier for a panel discussion on the intersection of forensic analysis, legal advocacy, and justice.

Discover how a withheld police binder, expert analysis, and relentless determination led to Weichel’s exoneration after 36 years of wrongful imprisonment. This timely conversation follows Weichel’s recent $14.9 million settlement with the Town of Braintree, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by the wrongfully convicted and the critical need for criminal justice reform.

Moderated by Fiona Doherty, Deputy Dean for Experiential Education and Nathan Baker Clinical Professor of Law, Yale Law School.
